Tariq started work young at age 16.  He worked his way through different tyre repair shops, petrol stations, stores, engineering workshops and the like, Having gained the necessary skills in basic engineering he, along with this brothers started a small repair shop in rented premises, in a small back alley with a very small investment.

The three brothers worked diligently over the one old lathe machine, repairing and producing spare parts of motor cycles.  As demand for their services and products grew, they requested us to lease them a larger machine costing Rs. 40,000 (US$ 720).  This would not only raise their income by over 50% but also generate employment for the youngest brother, as he was at the age of entering the job market.
