"My father had a workshop with a lathe machine and press machine etc. After his sudden death. I inherited a lathe machine and shop. On account of financial constraints, I had to abandon my studies. I started my family business. But on account of lack of experience, I had to suffer loss in the business. After one year I changed the nature of my business from workshop to the Sale of Special Tools (Special tools are described as old tools e.g. drilling tools, screwing tools etc). They are imported from Japan and England as scrape and are sold in Lahore and Faisalabad market as Special tools.
"I got profit in the business because I purchased those tools in Kilogram and sold them in both Kilograms and per piece. To purchase the Special tools, I had to visit four to seven Warehouses daily. For that purpose I used Rickshaw for carrying the tools from Warehouses to my shop. That caused heavy Transportation charges and wastage of time. I aspired to have a motor cycle to reduce my transportation expenses and wastage of time. But my financial condition did not allow me to purchase a motor cycle. If I had drawn money from my business, my business would have been ruined. I was in confusion and the competition in the market was going up.
"My worries and confusions started disturbing my family life as well. Banks have different attitude towards small businessmen. One day a marketing officer of the Network Leasing approached me I told him about my dream of having a motor cycle to over come my many problems. He told me that my dream could be materialized very easily. He explained in detail that how Network Leasing could help me not only in obtaining motor cycle but also expanding my business.
"I applied for the lease of motor cycle. It was an occasion of great joy and satisfaction when after depositing 10% I got a motor cycle without putting burden on my business.
"I have obtained not only benefits of above
mentioned that is reduction in transportation charges and saving of time,
but also have organized and disciplined my business on new lines.
Before having motor cycle, I used to sell those tools mainly in Kilograms
and it did not give me much profit. After having motor cycle, I take
these tools to my house after closing my shop. I sort out these tools
and separate, which are in good condition and classify them into a group
according to their similarity and condition. Next morning, I get
them back to my shop and sell them per piece."
